Lions, Tigers, and Bears oh my!

Memorial Day was a fun day at the Hogle Zoo. I haven't been to the zoo in I don't know how long. It was nice weather and great day away from work! Although it wasn't quite like I remember it was still fun. There weren't as many animals this time around. No lions, no tigers, and no bears...actually there were tigers, but they were sleeping. I am making it sound horrible, but it was the opposite. In reality it was an awesome day, we had a blast with the Mendoza family and Lougees. The giraffes were so cute and we loved seeing the baby elephant. My favorite animals to see are the monkeys and birds! It was fun to go to the Zoo and enjoy some time with friends.

Vegas Baby!

Last week Jon and I decided we needed to get away from work and take a break! We went with a few friends down to Las Vegas to enjoy warm weather! We took off on Jon's birthday and spent the next 4 days relaxing in the sun, walking the strip, shopping, and yes...gambling. It was a lot of fun. A few of the highlights were watching the Bellagio water shows...its one of my favorite things to do when I go to Vegas.

The best time was at the Coca-Cola factory where we sampled drinks from all around the world...my advice to you never take a sip of a Beverly from Italy. It was horrible. We went around the group taking a sip from 16 different cups. After we were all done we dared each other to take shots of what was left. I was the lucky one to down Beverly. We were all laughing by the end. It was a good time!

On our last day we went to Big League Dreams. It is a place where there 6 different softball fields built to mimic major league baseball fields. There was a tournament going on that weekend so we were able to enjoy watching a game and baseball park food (I swear we never get away from softball when it comes to the boys). It was nice to relax by the pool and soak up the sun and just get away for a while! All in all it was a good trip!

EASTER

I love Easter! It means warmer weather is on its way. I can't believe that we woke up to 2 inches or more of snow in Springville. Spring is almost here right?! I love that it was conference weekend. It was wonderful! Every time conference comes around it feels like I have been refreshed and renewed with great messages. I always come away feeling like I want to be a better person! Not only did we get to enjoy conference but we got to enjoy decorating eggs. I haven't done it in so long. While the boys were at priesthood session on Saturday we headed over to Tera's to dye and decorate eggs. I can't even tell you the last time that I had dyed eggs. It was fun...a little messy but brought back so many memories! I think as time went on each egg got better and better!
The finished product

Jackson is such a sweet kid. He insisted that we make one for his new little cousin...still in my tummy!

Softball begins!

So this weekend Jon had the tune-up tournament. Softball season is now here. Aren't we all excited! Jon and his team, the young bucks, did really well. We had three home runs hit, and even 20 runned a team. I must say that is was so COLD...the girls toughed it out with all of our blankets, coats and hand warmers. We are true fans...GO YOUNG BUCKS!

Boy or Girl?

Jon and I are both so excited that it is a BOY! Everything went well. He looks great and they couldn't see any problems. It is amazing everything that they can check with the ultrasound. He is weighing 12 oz. and is healthy. As the tech was trying to look at everything he stayed in a ball the whole time...stubborn already! When the tech said it was a boy you should have heard Jon. He was so excited! Well I am now 20 weeks, HALF WAY there! I feel good and am starting to have more energy, it is wonderful! Well here is our little man...

Oh my goodness!

I am so behind on posting on my blog. There are many of you that I said ..."I promise I will post next week!" Needless to say I didn't do it when I told you I would. So here is too making it up. Its a new year...a clean slate. This year has been wonderful! Here is why...

#1 Our house is complete. Jon and I moved in in November thanks to the help of family and friends. We love it and are so glad that we are homeowners (at times if you know what I mean)!

#2 Elder Keegan Jackson is out serving a mission! He leaves the MTC on April 12 to serve the people in Concepcion Chile. We are so proud of him. Keegan has been such an example to us. I will definitely miss him for the next 2 years but couldn't be happier for him that he is out serving the Lord.

# 3 Jon got a new job! He is now a real estate professional...as he wants me to tell people but I would just say a realtor. He has been working so hard. If you have any friends that are looking to sell or wanting to buy, keep Jon in mind! I know he is going to do a great job. I am so proud of him!

#4 The best news of all...we are going to have a baby! Jon and I are expecting our first little one on August 19th. I can't tell you how thrilled we are. I feel so blessed that we get to start a family of our own. It has been a pretty easy pregnancy, I really have nothing to complain about other than just being REALLY REALLY tired. Jon has taken on the responsibility of telling me what I can and can't do, or can and can't eat. I know he has good intentions, he is just an excited Daddy to be. We are so happy!

What's new in our life!

So yet again I have been so bad at posting. This is what has been going on over the past few months...

We went to a Rockies game! Jon and I, Austin and Talia, Heather and Tucker and Adam (quite the crew) went to Denver to enjoy a baseball game and go to an amusement park. We went to Elitch's Garden it was a amusement park/water park...wasn't my favorite. I have to give props to 7 peaks and Lagoon they run efficiently compared to Elitch's. We rode a total of 4 rides the entire day. The games were fun even though they lost both, and I had beer spilled on me (don't worry the guy offered to buy me a beer to make up for it)!

Jon and I have now been married 2 years. I can't believe another year has gone by. We kind of celebrated the whole week. Each day we did something. We went and got massages, went to dinner and enjoyed going to the temple. It was just a great week. It brought back a lot of memories. Jon surprised me and sent me lilies to work, they are my favorite flower. I just have to say what a wonderful man I married. He treats me so well. I love him so much!

The best news of all is we found a house! We are building our home...it has been wonderful and stressful. It is suppose to be completed in November! Jon and I are both so excited. The past couple of weeks have been busy with the planning and picking everything out. We had a lot to do it in a short amount of time. The construction has already begun. I had no idea how fast they could build a house. Well I will have to keep you updated on the whole process.

Other than that we have been busy going to Jon's games. Jon has been busy playing soccer, baseball and softball. Sports have been our lives for the past few months. That came to a sudden end three weeks ago when he tore his MCL playing in a baseball game. I think it has been hard for him not playing but we have to let it heal. Its kind of nice being able to stay home instead of going to a game every night...don't get me wrong we love going to games, it just nice to relax.

A week of FUN with the Hardy girls!

A few weekends ago I was so lucky to be able to take care of my nieces Katelyn and Sadie! Allie and Troy wanted to go look for a house in Texas and need a few days to to it without the girls. The girls and I had such a fun week! I can't even begin to tell you the fun things they said and did. It was an adventure for me figuring out how to get around in a different state...lets just say who ever invented the GPS systems was brilliant. I couldn't have done it without it and of course with some help from Katelyn. Over the week we did quite a few things. Let me just give you overview of the whole week. When I first got into Arizona Allie, Katleyn and Sadie picked me up...at first they were so shy but warmed up quickly. Allie and Troy left the next day and then the party began (just kidding Al). We hung around the house and watched movies. We couldn't just watch the movie...we had to build a fort and have treats before starting the movie. I tried to get out of the house and do something at least once each day..so we wouldn't get to bored. We went to the Splash Park...one of the best things we could have done and one of Katelyn and Sadie's favorite places to go. In my opinion it is one of smartest ways to cool off in HOT Arizona. We made lots of trips to the red box, to chic-fil-a, and to get some treats. All of you who know me know I love slushes so we couldn't pass up Bahama Bucks and the QT. We filled the rest of the time playing games, coloring, painting our toenails and finger nails, and of course making treats! I had such a good time with them...I got to see how cute and precious these two girls are. One of the first things I noticed is the Sadie loves to sing to herself it doesn't matter where or when she will just start singing...she has a beautiful voice. One time when I was putting her down for a nap (which she didn't want to do) she got up went to the door and in the cutest little voice said "I be back 1 minute..k?" I couldn't help but laugh. I knew she wasn't going to come back she didn't want to take a nap, needless to say she didn't take a nap that day. She is so loving and can make you smile. Katelyn has grown up so much and is so smart. She soaks in all that her mom says. Allie must prepare them for the days events or before going into a store because when she is playing she will talk about how she has a "plan" or "order" of what is going to happen that she will tell her imaginary friends. She is so sweet and sensitive to others feelings. Church was the only rough spot the whole week with the girls. Me alone with two girls who didn't want to go to primary was tough. They started crying at the same time in sacrament meeting. Katelyn apologized the rest of the day for "being bad" in church. For the record they weren't bad at all. Katelyn is a good little helper. Without her I couldn't have made it through the week. I love them both so much! It was a FUN week!

Jon's 23rd Birthday!

Jon's birthday is May 18Th! I decided to throw him a surprise birthday party...after much pondering I figured the best place to do it would be at a Bees game. Since all of the guys love baseball and especially Jon, what better way to spend his birthday. So then the planning began. I decided to do it on Friday and had lots of help to throw him off. All week I had been asking him what he wanted to do and his only response was to spend time with me. With the help from my mom I developed the story we were going to a family party up in Salt Lake, my aunt does this occasionally so it was nothing suspicious...he totally believed it. So Friday night rolled around and I met Jon at home after work. I told him that my family had already left for the family get-together, when in reality they were at the park eating dinner. I had Kim write down directions to the "family party" which lead right to the stadium. As we approached the stadium I yelled surprise and that this was his birthday gift. His response was "stupid, no way" the one thing he says when he doesn't know what to say. He was so excited and to top things off...he walked in and saw all of his friends sitting behind third base. It was a great game...I think all the boys had fun. During the seventh inning stretch, the announcer made it known (over the intercom)that it was Jon Fuller's 23rd birthday. After the game I had cake waiting in the car. We had what you could call a tailgate party in honor of Jon. After all the partying was over I asked Jon if he had any idea about the surprise and he said he had no clue! I finally got him. Thank you to all who helped me pull of the surprise! It was a great night! Happy Birthday babe!

Cinco De Mayo

So this week on Tuesday we celebrated Cinco De Mayo with our friends. What a party! It was so much fun. Jon and Austin threw it together and did a great job. We had carne asada (steak), tortillas, and bean dip...Jon did a great job on the grill. To top of a wonderful meal we had a great mexican dessert, tres leches. It was delicious! So after the great meal we had a piñata, of course you have to have a piñata on Cinco De Mayo. We all had a turn to hit it. So the deal was we were blind folded and had to spin around 10 times with our head on the bat. I was dizzy after just spinning twice. It was quite entertaining to watch everybody go though it. After destroying the piñata we sat around a camp fire and bonded as friends. It was a great night!
