Thanksgiving

This year for Thanksgiving we weren't able to be with family...so we had Thanksgiving with friends! Can you believe it?! Between Adrianne and I we actually made Thanksgiving dinner! I even made homemade rolls (would have made you proud Mom and Kim)...they were fabulous! We were really happy to have Thanksgiving with the Snyder's. They are a family we met in our ward...and instantly became friends. Cohen adores their two kids and they adore him. It was a nice day...we cooked together making pies, stuffing, turkey, gravy...the works! It tasted so GOOD! My favorite part was the chocolate pie! It was a really nice day to spend with good friends!

A fun weekend

Jon was able to have a 5 day weekend. We spent the weekend together...so fun to have Jon around. I think Cohen really enjoyed it. The only person he wanted all weekend was his Dad-t! Here is how the weekend went down...
Jon volunteered to do the Fall Festival on base. We tagged along to join in the festivities. The school had set up booths, had a hay ride (probably Cohen's favorite thing), a firetruck, blowup playgrounds, and food!

We also went to the Sunland Mall to walk around. They have a little play area and we let Cohen go to town.

Of course we made our way to Chick-fil-a. One of my favorites and now one of Cohen's.

We also had a movie night! Cohen recently got a present...a car's bean bag chair. What better way to celebrate then watch the movie Cars. Cohen loves this movie and keeps on saying "vroom vroom"!

Great weekend!

Flash Back Friday!

Blessing...

This month a year ago we blessed our little man! On November 7th, 2010 we blessed Cohen Jon Fuller! What a wonderful day that was for us. I can't help but feel how lucky I am. Cohen is such a blessing in our lives. He brings me so much joy everyday! The other day I was having a hard time and just started crying. I was sitting on the floor by him. He looked up at my face and scrunched his eye brows and came over to give me a hug. As he was giving me a hug he started to go "mmmm"...and puckered his lips to give me a kiss. Then he went back to his toy picked it up and set it back down and came to give me another hug and a kiss. He probably did this same scenario 5 or 6 times. After that I couldn't help but smile. He is so intuitive and receptive of others feelings. Even when I am down he makes me happy. He truly is a blessing in my life. The past 15 months have been wonderful with him in my life! I am so grateful that I get the opportunity to have him in our family. I am so glad to be a mom and have the chance to raise a son of God. I just feel so blessed that Heavenly Father sent him to me. I know I am suppose to teach him but right now I feel like he was sent to teach me. I love him so much!

Our day!

The first few weeks in Texas have been great! We are really enjoying our time in El Paso and getting to know the city. First off we love going to the park. Almost daily Cohen and I will walk to the park that is just a few blocks away. We love being outside and he loves the swings! Sad to say this week has been a little cold and chilly...we don't last as long at the park when it's cold. We just got back from the park. Cohen's nose is red and my hands are freezing. Well worth it though. It was a fun day!

To add to the cold...Cohen and I also like heading over to 7-11 and getting a slurpee. Its just across the street. I don't know if that was a good move for Jon to make...having us live so close to my addiction. I REALLY like going over and getting one. It is just sweet goodness! I think that Cohen may like them just as much. There is a little of me in him!

We love our day!!!

A crazy month!

Over the past few weeks this is what has happened to our family...

Jon graduated from AIT!!! We drove out to is graduation the end of September. My Dad was wonderful and offered to drive me and Cohen out there. He is the best to drive 13 1/2 hours with us. We couldn't have done it with out my Dad. We really appreciated it! You would think it would be a long and whiny drive for Cohen right? WRONG! He was amazing. I don't think he even cried once...not lying! He was so GOOD! It nice to be with Jon again! We are so proud of him! He worked so hard! We're finally a little family again. We love seeing Jon everyday! Cohen sure loves his Daddy!

We made it to El Paso! It was quite an adventure. There were a few hicupps along the way but we made it and are loving it. After driving for 2 days and being in the car for 14 hours we arrived on the 11th of October to find that our apartment wasn't ready for us...I'm not going to lie I was really frustrated. I blame in on the lack of sleep and how emotional I was from the move. It just meant more time in a hotel and more lack of sleep. It was finally ready on the 14th. We pulled in with our U-haul and as we started unpacking I thought to myself this is going to be a really long day! As we started climbing the stairs with our stuff a man who was working on the outside of our building approached me and Jon and asked if he could help. He said he had a few guys and there were still on the clock and needed something to do (right? Just being nice). He said he saw that we had a little boy and noitced it was just the two of us and wanted to help. It was an answer to prayers. What would have taken us at least 5 hours to do we did it in an hour. We are so grateful for the help we recieved! It really was a blessing!

We left at about 5 am on Oct. 10th

Cohen looks just like Jon!

We couldn't leave Utah without saying goodbye. My sisters gave us a going away party Texan style. My sister who recently moved back to Utah just spent the last 2 years in Texas. Through their help and my other sister looking up stuff they were able to tell me all that I needed to know about moving here! They had great decorations and of course great desserts! Thanks for all you did to help make the transition with the move easier for me. I hope you all know how much I miss you! You know me there have been tears but things are getting better!

We are going to miss you all in Utah! We figured that Cohen and I were in the car for about 50 hours. Crazy! Cohen was so good in the car. Seriously amazing! He is a good little boy! He was sure exhausted...

We are ready to settle in and get into a routine. We are excited to see what El Paso is like and met new people! We look forward to the adventure!

Halloween

This year we weren't planning on dressing up. When we found out about the trunk or treat we threw together our costumes. With what we had we went with a sports theme! I know I know so creative, right?!

As you can tell Jon was a football player, Cohen was a basketball player (he is pretty good a shooting hoops!)and I was a soccer player. Cohen went around to get candy. At first he wasn't sure about the whole thing but after he saw that he got candy he was ecstatic and wouldn't let go of his pumpkin bag. The rest of the night he kept on signing "candy"! We sure had a fun night at the trunk or treat!
